I have a confession. I have secretly wanted to start a lifestyle blog for about twenty years. I’ve jotted down blog names, ideas, branding. But I’ve never actually gone through with it until now – 2026, the year when everyone tells you blogging is “really” dead.

So, here I am, doing it. I don’t have everything pinned down or buttoned up, but I do know that as an artist, when inspiration hits, sometimes you have no choice but to listen!

Why start an Artist Lifestyle Blog in 2026

A Case for Blogging in 2026

I have another secret. I spent 10 years in branding and advertising, first as a content strategist, then turned Creative Director. (This was my former life, before I took the leap into being a full-time artist — more about that later.) The point is, I know the landscape and have a mind that likes the strategy side of things. So when people say blogging is dead, and I examine my direct experience of the internet right now, I don’t believe them. In fact, I might argue the opposite.

If you ask ai about it, or do some old-school Googling, it will tell you:

  1. A blog post compounds; social media dies.
  2. You own it completely.
  3. Long-form content is the “meal,” social is the “appetizer.”
  4. Readers are hungry for human-made content.
  5. You control the experience.
  6. The “Slow Web” is back.

However, I don’t think these are completely true.

My Perspective on Blogging in 2026

In my experience, not all platforms are created equal, and content performs differently across all of them. Social media platforms like Pinterest and YouTube operate more like search engines, where relevant content does become more evergreen. Faster-paced places like Instagram and TikTok still have variable content lifespans, mostly determined by initial performance.

The ownable argument for blogging is somewhat true from a content and design perspective, but you don’t own the hosting or the search engine, and we know that discoverability has changed massively in the past few years.

The Artist Lifestyle Is Born

What I do know is this. I am starving for inspiring perspectives, impeccable curation, and above all, creative wisdom. And that is exactly what I’m here for. I am creating the place on the internet that I can’t find. (Yes, there are still a handful of these places — I am certainly not the only one craving this right now!)

I want The Artist Lifestyle to be:

  • An insightful blend of my decades-long practices of art, personal development, and ancient wisdom.
  • A way to cultivate my own perspective on life, grounded in the ethics of truth, beauty, and humanity.
  • And the kind of place you can drop into on any given day and always leave with something fresh.

Welcome to the Artist Lifestyle. Creative wisdom for modern life.
